Job Description

• Provide general health care, Assessment and Management of a broad range of clinical problems in consultation with the doctors treating the patient & nurses, and written protocols. • Provide appropriate general guidelines. • Provide accident and emergency care, including emergency first aid, stabilization and evacuation of patients. • Provide clinical advice to the patients, attendants and nurses. • Facilitate and participate in special medical camps and community screening activities periodically. • Assist in the implementation of quality assurance and other evaluation program to ensure a high quality of clinical care. SPECIFIC CARE • Respond to medical emergencies. • Deliver health care to children, women or men, youth, aged and people with disabilities, including ensuring prompt follow-up and recall of patients, in liaison with the doctor treating and nurses assisting in the treatment; and facilitate tracing and treatment of patients. • Deliver substance abuse care, nutritional care and mental health care. • Provide other specialist healthcare, including the arrangement of outpatient appointments and other specific schedules of visiting specialists. • Oversee discharge summaries and allocate patients to the appropriate level of care. COMMUNITY CARE • Deliver counseling and support to individuals and families on health-related issues. • Respond to community emergencies if any and support the organization in such initiatives. • Deliver environmental healthcare. • Deliver health education and health promotion. • Contribute to the development of health programs and identify areas of deficiencies and closely work with the hospital on such initiatives. MANAGEMENT • Advocate for rights and needs of individuals, families and community on health-related issues. • Demonstrate safe working practices. • Work with others to deliver effective health outcomes. • Provide informal training, specifically support and education for nurses, doctors and other allied health staff. • Attend staff meetings. • Participate in the implementation of disaster plans. • Supervise the work of paramedical and nurses. • Manage the work schedule from time to time.
