Roles & Responsibilities • Examine, assess, diagnose, and provide appropriate treatment to patients in OPD, IPD, Emergency, and ICU as required. • Attend and manage all medical emergencies promptly and efficiently. • Stabilize critically ill patients and coordinate with consultants for further management. • Perform initial clinical assessment and formulate treatment plans. • Monitor admitted patients and document clinical progress regularly. • Coordinate with consultants regarding patient management, referrals, admissions, transfers, and discharges. • Ensure timely documentation of patient history, examination findings, treatment plans, and medical records. • Prescribe medications and investigations within the scope of hospital protocols. • Attend emergency calls, Code Blue, and trauma cases as per hospital policy. • Assist consultants during clinical procedures whenever required. • Ensure effective communication with patients and their relatives regarding treatment and clinical status. • Maintain accurate medico-legal documentation and comply with legal requirements. • Follow infection prevention and control practices and patient safety protocols. • Ensure compliance with NABH standards, hospital policies, and clinical guidelines. • Participate in clinical meetings, CMEs, audits, and quality improvement initiatives. • Handover patient details appropriately during shift changes. • Perform any other duties assigned by the Medical Superintendent or Hospital Management. Job Specification Qualification • MBBS (Mandatory) Registration • Valid State Medical Council / National Medical Commission (NMC) Registration. Experience • Freshers or candidates with 1–5 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting are preferred. Skills Required • Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills. • Ability to handle medical emergencies independently. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Good documentation and report-writing skills. • Ability to work in rotational shifts, including nights and holidays. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred. • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
